In college, I was drawn to minimalism. It felt freeing to live simply, focus on what mattered, and let go of the rest. I loved the idea of creating spaceโ€”not just in my physical surroundings but in my mind and schedule too. Back then, it was easy to embrace. I had fewer responsibilities, limited belongings, and a natural curiosity for self-improvement.

But as life got busier, I drifted away from that mindset. A career, a growing family, and the endless demands of modern life took center stage, and I didnโ€™t even realize how much Iโ€™d lost touch with that side of myself. It wasnโ€™t until my wife and I had kids, and the clutter of life felt overwhelming, that I started looking back at minimalism as a way to reset. What began as a practical solution to managing โ€œstuffโ€ became a much-needed return to the values Iโ€™d once embracedโ€”clarity, focus, and making room for what truly matters.

Declutter your living space intentionally
