My college cross-country coach had a saying thatโ€™s stayed with me over the years: โ€œItโ€™s not rocket science, itโ€™s consistency.โ€

He wasnโ€™t just talking about runningโ€”he was teaching us a life lesson. Improvement, whether in sports or anything else, doesnโ€™t come from some genius plan or a groundbreaking strategy. It comes from showing up every day and doing the little things right. He drilled this into us during every practice, every pep talk, and every tough race. And you know what?

We had a great teamโ€”not because we were extraordinary athletes, but because we had a coach who never let us stray from this simple truth.
