Iโve heard it said many times: โMoney canโt buy happiness.โ
And I get the heart of that statement. You really donโt need much to be happy. If your basic needs are met and you feel safe, the rest comes down to the intangiblesโyour relationships, your sense of meaning, and the way you approach life. Chasing more money, or the endless thrill of the next shiny object, often leads to burnout rather than bliss.
But hereโs the thing: most of us reading this have some amount of discretionary money. Enough that we can choose where to spend it beyond just covering the essentials. And if weโre being completely honest, our lived experiences show that money, when spent wisely, can absolutely add to our happiness. Thatโs why I think itโs important to spend money intentionally.
